‘Kahukura’ When translated means ‘Multicoloured Butterfly’. This design is an interpretation of New Zealand's largest butterfly. The Monarch spends two weeks as a caterpillar, two weeks as a chrysalis and two months as a butterfly. The addition of blue and purple feathers (are personal favourites) have been incorporated to compliment this gorgeous combination of colour, accentuating the design.
